BNP Paribas Real Estate is to announce redundancies at its Southampton office following the branch’s closure.
It is understood that around ten members of staff will be affected.
Estates Gazette reported two months ago that the company was considering closing the office as a result of Robert Haynes, David Ferriman and Steven Williams leaving to set up their own agency in early October.
The company was considering relocating staff alongside other options but has now confirmed the office closure and redundancies.
The company said: “In response to three directors from our Southampton office leaving to set up on their own, and after a consultation period, we have closed our Southampton office. While we are expanding our UK business, we must remain adaptable to change and be prepared to make difficult decisions to ensure sustainable growth.”
