Montagu Evans partners reap rewards from profit rise

Coins-graph-up-THUMB.jpegPretax profit jumped 33% at Montagu Evans last year, on the back of a steady rise in turnover.

Recently filed accounts show pretax profit increased to £19.3m in the year to 31 March 2014, up from £14.5m the previous year.

During the same period the company achieved a £32.5m turnover, up from £27.7m a year earlier.

Steve Thomas, managing partner at Montagu Evans, said: “We had great results from all divisions last year, in particular from the West End agency team, and the UK investment and planning divisions.”

As a result of the bumper year, the firm’s 74 partners split £19.2m – an average remuneration per member of £259,356, up from £201,866 the previous year.

Thomas added that the strong performance had carried on into the current financial year.

He said: “Trading is currently up on last year by about 10%. Our Scotland team has also performed well, despite all the political uncertainties last year.”
