Dr Martens puts stamp on Oxford Street

Dr-Martens-THUMB-.jpegDr Martens is to open a shop on Oxford Street for the first time in the company’s 68-year history.

The footwear brand has signed a 10-year lease at 386 Oxford Street, W1, a shop previously occupied by Accessorize.

It will pay £550,000 pa for the 1,600 sq ft unit.

Dr Martens, which was bought in 2013 by private equity group Permira, also has London outlets at Spitalfields Market, E1, Covent Garden, WC1, Camden, NW1, and Carnaby Street, WC1.

Savills represented landlord M&G; SPACE Retail Property Consultants advised Dr Martens.
