A booming student population in Birmingham has paid off for developers, investors and agents.

In the city centre, the London School of Business & Finance has instructed James Andrew International to find it a new 50,000 sq ft home, comprising offices and teaching space, by the end of 2015.

It is expanding from smaller premises in the city centre.

At the same time, LaSalle Investment Management, advised by GVA, has agreed to forward-fund a £48m Alumno Developments student accommodation scheme in the Eastside Locks area (pictured).
