M&G sheds man poached
Mount Street-based Aspect Property Consultants has hired M&G Real Estate’s head of industrial and logistics as a partner. Adam Coulston will join the industrial and out-of-town specialist agent, dealing with investment and development opportunities. Coulston has managed more than £2.1bn of logistics and industrial assets for M&G since joining in 2011.
Tesco reveals closure locations
Struggling supermarket chain Tesco has revealed the locations of the 43 stores it plans to close as part of plans to plug a black hole in its accounts. The list can be accessed on wordpress.egi.co.uk and includes 18 Express and 12 Metro stores, plus seven superstores and six Homeplus sites. Some 49 development projects have also been shelved.
WeWork heads to Bishopsgate
British Land has signed flexible office space provider WeWork for a 62,000 sq ft letting at 199 Bishopsgate, EC2. The 15-year lease takes the 30-acre Broadgate campus to full occupation. Built in 2012, 199 Bishopsgate covers 146,000 sq ft of offices over 11 floors. CBRE and DTZ advised BL; CBRE acted for WeWork.
Savills seeks £7.2m in dispute
Savills has issued a high court writ claiming £7.2m from Shell Mex House, WC2, owner Henning Conle. Savills is claiming £6.1m plus VAT in unpaid agency fees in respect of the 2013 acquisition. The sum represents 1% of the purchase price. Conle is vigorously defending the claim.
Canmoor to sell in Brum
Canmoor is selling two regional business parks, with a £100m asking price – the 360,000 sq ft Birmingham Business Park in Solihull and the 150,000 sq ft Lawnswood Business Park in Leeds. Tudor Toone is advising.
