Savills is preparing to take on the shopping centre market, its new head of shopping centre leasing, Mark Simms, has revealed in his first interview since taking on the new role.
Simms was poached from global tech giant Apple, where he was senior retail manager for European property. He said that Savills had invested in all aspects of retail to become market leader in both investment and out-of-town and was now turning its attention to the shopping centre leasing market.
Estates Gazette revealed in November that Simms would be leaving Apple to head the team.
