ZhongRong Group, the Chinese company appointed to develop a new Crystal Palace, has missed the exclusivity period granted it by mayor of London Boris Johnson.
The company has not made any significant progress on the scheme.
The developer will still have the option of working on the scheme but will now have to fend off competition from Westfield, which showed interest in the project when Johnson announced it in October 2013.
