NHS Property Services has appointed Elaine Hewitt as its chief executive.
Hewitt joins from BT Group where she was group property director.
Simon Holden, who has led NHS Property Services for its first two-and-a-half years, will be staying with the company for the short term to ensure a smooth transition.
Hewitt said: “Despite the change of sector, I expect some continuity from a role that involves me driving change in both estates strategy and facilities, working with delivery partners and leading a team that actively manages thousands of buildings in communities across the country.”
