CBRE reaches staffing milestone in Birmingham

CBRE-new-recruitsKirsty Darkins has been appointed as a director within CBRE’s Birmingham office.

Darkins is returning to CBRE, after initially working at the office for five years from 2003, latterly in the retail asset management team. She left to join Hammerson and most recently worked for Boots as head of estate management for the UK and Ireland, leading a team of 20.

CBRE has also appointed Claire Bieganski to the asset services team as a senior surveyor. Formerly with DTZ in Birmingham, Bieganski has more than 15 years’ experience in property and asset management. She will advise on the management of regional and national commercial investment portfolios.

The firm has also appointed three new graduate surveyors. Toby Fellows, Sarah Matthews and John Roberts, working in the lease consultancy, valuation and asset services teams respectively.

Martin Guest, managing director (Birmingham), said: “This latest round of appointments takes our head count to more than 110 – a milestone for the Birmingham office. We anticipate recruiting additional staff this year, as the property market continues to pick up.”
