More than 250 real estate professionals descended – some more stylishly than others – on the Italian resort of Cormayeur for the Lambert Smith Hampton Ski Challenge from 29-31 January.

The three-day event comprised a business forum, with presentations from deputy London mayor Sir Edward Lister and Urban Splash’s Tom Bloxham, followed by a series of ski and snowboarding races.

Buoyed by race commentary from former Olympic skier and Ski Sunday presenter Graham Bell, this year’s competitors gave it their all despite a shortened race course.

Hamptons International flew to victory in the dual parallel slalom. It was a good day at the (bitterly cold) office for the agent as graduate land surveyor Sophie Wellesley-Wood also picked up the Estates Gazette award for fastest female and bagged the new prize, judged by Bell, for most stylish descent.

Lloyd Garvie from Burness Paull won the Estates Gazette cup for fastest male, with a time of 14.74 seconds, and it was a home win in the Commercial Property Masters Cup as LSH’s Team Nahome stormed to victory in just over 1 minute.

LSH chief executive Ezra Nahome said: “We didn’t let the heavy snowfall stop us from enjoying the racing. Despite the unfavourable weather, the large and enthusiastic crowd that turned up with cowbells to cheer on the racers was rewarded with some brave descents and spectacular wipe-outs.”
