A planning application for 32 homes in Cheswick Village, Gloucestershire, is due to be submitted later this month by developer McCarthy and Stone.
The Stride Treglown-designed scheme comprises 15 one-bedroom and 17 two-bedroom homes specially designed for retirees.
McCarthy and Stone has allocated £2bn to invest in a further 300 assisted living sites by 2018, potentially delivering 12,000 homes.
