More than a fifth of all sales in Bath were made by London buyers in 2014, up 14% from the previous year, according to a Knight Frank study.
The findings also showed prime property prices in the city rose 5% in 2014. There was a 7.4% rise in the number of sales completed in 2014 compared to the previous year.
Locations including Lansdown and central Bath are seeing more interest from potential buyers and the performance of prices here has reflected this with increases of 1.8% and 1.1% respectively in Q4 and 4.8% and 5.8% over the last year.
