Lodha Group has appointed Mayfair-based Wetherell to target Indian millionaires in London for the world’s tallest residential skyscraper.
Wetherell will launch the 1,450 ft, 117-storey World One Tower in Mumbai on behalf of Lodha. Luxury flats will start from £1.4m.
The instruction comes after Wetherell calculated that UK high-net-worth Indians have purchased more than £1bn of luxury real estate in London over the past 18 months. They are now target purchasers for World One Tower.
Peter Wetherell, chief executive of Wetherell, said: “The British and international based Indian business community have been major investors in prime London real estate over the last two years. Now Wetherell aims to tap into this market, and generate some ‘reverse marketing and sales’, in order to channel some of this wealth back to India.”
