The chief executive of the Titanic Quarter in Belfast, David Gavaghan, is leaving the company as part of a restructure.

Gavaghan will leave after nearly three years at the company, which is behind the regeneration masterplan of 185 acres on the site where RMS Titanic was designed and built.

Two other senior staff members will also depart.

Pat Doherty, chairman of Titanic Quarter, said: “Following a benchmarking process against other large international projects, it became clear that the cost base at Titanic Quarter was not proportionate to the business.  As a consequence we have restructured TQL’s team.”

He added that the firm remained strongly committed to Northern Ireland and plans for Titanic Quarter remain unchanged.
