Allsop took €45.8m (£33.5m) in its first Irish auction of the year and achieved a 90% success rate.
Allsop Ireland – as the Allsop Space business has been rebranded – drew 1,000 attendees to its 18 February auction, where 187 lots were on offer.
A modern office building on Citylink Business Park in Bluebell, which sold for €2.5m – €760,000 over the reserve – was the largest lot sold. The 18,415 sq ft building is let to Damovo Ireland until 2023.
Residential appetite was also strong, with a 1.5-acre plot of land in Delgany sold for €1.2m – €200,000 over its reserve.
Richard Hoban, director of auctions at Allsop Ireland, said: “The shortage of development land was very evident with the number of bidders chasing prime development opportunities.”
A portfolio of nine prime retail, industrial and office investment properties all sold prior for more than £1m.
Allsop has also launched an online auction service, with a 70-strong catalogue. The online platform includes a public record of all bids concluding in a legally binding sale.
Bidding for the Allsop Online Auction opens at 10am on 18 March and closes from 10am on 19 March.
