The property and regeneration community travelled from all corners of the UK to hear a penetrating lecture by Lord Heseltine last week.
A 200-strong crowd filled the auditorium at Fitzwilliam College for the inaugural Estates Gazette Peter Wilson Lecture, hosted by Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge and supported by Savills and Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co.
They sat enthralled and entertained as the urban regeneration legend gave insight into his political career and shared his ideas for lifting neglected communities, under the lecture heading “The past, the present and the future of regeneration”.
Among the guests were students who have received the first Estates Gazette Peter Wilson scholarships to study land economy at Fitzwilliam College.
The scholarships were provided by the family of the late Peter Wilson, the former owner of Estates Gazette and an honorary fellow of Fitzwilliam College. His widow Audrey Wilson also attended the lecture.
