Retail investment guru and chief executive of UK capital markets at Cushman & Wakefield David Erwin is leaving the business after almost 30 years.
Erwin will step down from the partnership and leave the firm at the end of the month to pursue new career opportunities.
He said: “After nearly 30 very enjoyable years at Cushman & Wakefield I am looking forward to realising a long-held aim to take on a fresh challenge at this point in my career.
“It has been fantastic to have been a member of the UK’s market-leading retail team and see the firm go from strength to strength. I leave the firm with many friends and happy memories.”
UK chief executive Digby Flower added: “We respect David’s decision to seek a new career challenge and on behalf of the firm I want to thank him for his significant contribution over many years and to wish him every success in the future.”
Erwin joined C&W in 1986 and during his career has advised on several billion pounds of retail transactions, including the sales of the Bullring in Birmingham, Bluewater in Kent, St Enoch in Glasgow and Whitefriars in Canterbury, Kent, for clients including Land Securities, M&G, Delancey and Hermes.
He was also co-founder of charity horse racing event Property Race Day, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, and has been a trustee of LandAid for the past four years.
