ITG offers Notts site

Land-THUMB.jpegThe Imperial Tobacco Group has put its 45-acre manufacturing site in Nottingham up for sale.

The site, expected to be vacant by 2017, is situated prominently at the end of a £150m upgrade and extension of the A453 dual carriageway, and is considered widely as one of the most significant sites to come to the market in the past 20 years.

Richard Evans, JLL’s industrial and logistics director in London, said: “The disposal offers both developers and occupiers a rare opportunity to acquire a substantial piece of strategic land in a prime East Midlands position with excellent connectivity.”

Employment growth in the region in 2014 outperformed London and South East. Up to 6,000 jobs are expected to be generated in the East Midlands between now and 2019.

JLL is the agent and has also been appointed by ITG on the disposal of a large factory site in Nantes, France.
