Montagu Evans merges with Blue Sky

Montagu-THUMB.jpegMontagu Evans is to merge with specialist planning firm Blue Sky Planning.

Blue Sky was established in 2002 by former Colliers directors Craig Blatchford and Jonathan Best.

The pair – together with Edward Ledwidge and Paula Stratford – will join Montagu Evans in April taking the firm’s total West End based planning team to 50 staff including 15 partners.

Montagu Evans also has separate planning teams in Edinburgh and Glasgow

Blue Sky is best known for work advising on retail parks for clients including British Land, The Crown Estate, M&G Real Estate, Aviva, Standard Life, Schroders, Travis Perkins and TK Maxx.

It is also planning advisor to Siemens throughout the UK.

Julian Stephenson, head of planning at Montagu Evans, said: “Merging together with the scale and depth of our experience, when both companies are thriving, we hope will bring greater value to our clients and positions us well for even stronger growth in the future”.

Blatchford said: “We are very proud of what Blue Sky Planning has achieved with our clients over the last 13 years.

“The potential to offer a fully resourced specialist retail warehouse team is particularly exciting,” he added.
