Doddle looks to collect more sites

Doddle-THUMBNew click-and-collect service Doddle is on the expansion trail, with plans to open 70 shops in the next 12 months, and 250 by the end of 2017.

The business has opened 30 shops in the last six months, focusing on collection points in major train stations and high footfall areas, targeting commuters.

Doddle is backed by Network Rail and Travelex founder Lloyd Dorfman, and has invested about £12m in leases and £4m in fit outs based on 10-year leases.

It has a further spend of circa £18m planned for the rest of 2015.

It is particularly looking to sites within sight of train station entrance and exits, as well as high footfall hubs such as Westfield Stratford and Ealing Broadway.
