Planning permission has been granted for a full refurbishment of 24 King William Street, EC4, a project with a gross development value of £21m.

The 116,034 sq ft Beltane Asset Management-owned building will be refitted and reclad to create a new mixed-use building.

The new scheme, designed by Ben Adams Architects, will add two new floors and a new façade to the building.

Founding director Ben Adams says: “This project is a grand gesture for the City of London which respects the rich mixture of heritage and contemporary design that make up the heart of the capital.”

Gerald Eve was the planning agent.
