Acuitus achieved a success rate of 93% – a record for the firm – at its 26 March sale, held at the Radisson Blu Portman Hotel, W1, and raised a total of £38.3m. The top lot – a 163,685 sq ft office complex in Telford, Shropshire, – sold for £3m. More than 25% of the lots sold for more than £1m.


Countrywide hits £4.8m

Countrywide Property Auctions raised £4.8m at its 25 March sale. Of 38 lots offered, 25 sold – a 66% success rate. An eight-bedroom house with scope for conversion to residential sold for £482,000. The sale took place at Le Meridien Piccadilly Hotel, W1


Residential success for Allsop

Allsop Residential raised £50.5m from its 26 March auction, selling 213 of 246 lots offered, an 87% success rate. Top lots included a development opportunity in Bromley, Kent, arranged as two flats but with planning permission for conversion into a seven-bedroom house. It sold for £1m. Network double takes in £5.4m

Auction house Network Auctions raised £5.4m at its latest two-day sale held in London and Birmingham – the firm’s highest total since March 2007. The success rate of 67% was down on
the firm’s average last year of 79%. The firm’s next sale is also a two-day event taking place in London on 7 May and in Birmingham on 13 May.


Auction House takes partner

Auction House North West has signed an agreement to partner with Roger Hannah & Co as it looks to expand the commercial side of its business. The firm now ranks second among UK commercial property auctioneers in terms of lots sold.
