Brooklyn home prices at record high

Residential property prices in Brooklyn hit a record high in the first quarter of the year, amid increased demand from buyers and tight supply.

The median sales price on condominiums, co-ops and one- to three-family homes jumped 18% on the year to $610,894, data from Miller Samuel and Douglas Elliman Real Estate showed. The number of sales was 1.4% lower on the year, however.

The price rise is the most in the 12 years of recording the data.
