Aviva retail head retires

Aviva-Investors-sign-THUMB.jpegAviva Investor’s head of retail Chris Paterson is taking early retirement and leaving the firm after 33 years.

Paterson will be leaving in July to return to Scotland for his retirement.

His major projects included the development of a nine-acre world heritage site in Bath, Somerset, into Southgate, the 500,000 sq ft retail-led mixed-use development.

As well as his role with Aviva, Paterson was also an executive board director of the British Council of Shopping Centres and a director of Kingston First.

Barry Hill, current head of real estate asset management, will be taking on responsibility for the in town retail team.

An Aviva spokesperson said: “We wish Chris all the best for the future and thank him for his dedicated service to the company.”
