Sir Terence Conran has attacked Sir Philip Green’s sale of the BHS chain, calling it ‘ridiculous’.
Conran, who once ran BHS, made the comments after a letter was sent to members of the BHS pension scheme, informing them that the deficit stood at £207m – twice the level reported in the 2013 accounts.
Last month Green sold the chain to a consortium led by Dominic Chappell for £1.
Meanwhile, analysts at Barclays have predicted that Tesco faces a pension deficit of £5bn.
