Silvertown Quays regen prepares for take-off

Silvertown-Quay-THUMBNewham council has approved plans for the £3.5bn regeneration of Silvertown Quays in east London’s Royal Docks, E16.

The Chelsfield and Macquarie-backed scheme, which is being delivered by First Base, includes 2m sq ft of offices, 3m sq ft of shops and leisure space and 3,000 homes.

The first phase of the 62-acre project is expected to complete by 2018 and will deliver 450,000 sq ft of offices at the Millennium Mills site, which has been unlocked by a
£12m CLG grant.
