Greenridge bags office for £300m regional fund

Renaissance-House-WarringtonThe North West office block that is the nerve centre for the latest investigation into the 1989 Hillsborough disaster has been bought by Greenridge UK’s Regional Property Fund.

Greenridge’s UK fund, which launched a £300m regional investment drive earlier this year, has agreed an off-market deal to buy the 42,000 sq ft Renaissance House in Warrington, Cheshire, from Warrington Investment for £9.1m – a 6.7% yield.

The fund – run by Bik Bhuptani and Paul Simmons – is aiming to build a portfolio of long-income regional properties of lot sizes up to £15m.

Renaissance House is let to the department for Communities and Local Government and is currently occupied by the Police Complaints Commission, which is analysing and cataloguing evidence for a major inquest into the infamous events at Sheffield’s Hillsborough Stadium in which 96 football fans lost their lives.

CLG’s lease on Renaissance House expires in 2026.

Bilfinger GVA acted for Greenridge; Warrington Investment was represented by JLL.
