Union Hanover Securities has been given planning permission for a £35m Urban Villa boutique hotel by the Union Canal basin in Edinburgh.
The 180-room hotel will sit within the larger regeneration of the Fountainbridge district, a £120m project led by Amco Developments.
The regen scheme includes 78 flats, retail and leisure and 155,000 sq ft of commercial office space.
Union Hanover’s first Urban Villa, in West London, was launched in January and the company plans to bring the brand to Aberdeen.
