Pramerica VP heads for Goldman Sachs

Kim-Torriani-THUMBKim Torriani, vice-president at Pramerica Real Estate Investors, is leaving the fund manager to join Goldman Sachs.

She will join as an executive director later in the summer and will work in the bank’s real estate financing department.

Torriani joined Pramerica in 2013 having previously worked at Wells Fargo. The debt funds in which Pramerica is investing focus on junior, higher-yielding debt and preferred equity positions.

Goldman is also seeking a replacement for Ramón Camiña-Mendizabal, its former European head of real estate financing. It is looking for candidates both internally and externally.

The Goldman lending team includes executive directors Jan Janssen, who joined from Bank of America Merrill Lynch in April last year, and Andrea Bora, who joined from Morgan Stanley in 2013.

Camiña-Mendizabal left Goldman in October last year to become a founding partner of Cale Street Partners, which is investing $1.5bn (£950m) in Europe on behalf of the Kuwait Investment Authority in senior and mezzanine debt, as well as making equity investments.
