St James’s plans for the development of a 1,500-home scheme on the site of an M&S shed in White City, W12, have been recommended for approval.
The Patel Taylor-designed scheme comprises buildings ranging from 10 to 28 storeys. It also includes 21,000 sq ft of shops at ground floor level, publicly accessible areas and a railway bridge.
The building will sit opposite the former BBC Television Centre and adjacent to Westfield shopping centre.
The wider regeneration of the area is a collaborative effort with an end value of more than £2bn.
