EG Awards 2015: National Property Company of the Year

PropCo-of-the-year-EG-2014

In a land of heavyweights, it takes one impressive performance to be crowned king. It requires the ability to deliver profitable, sustainable projects, to forge strategic partnerships and to innovate. But most of all, it takes perseverance in challenging times.

Relative newcomer Muse Developments proved it all possible when it trumped British Land, The Crown Estate and Land Securities to claim the 2014 EG Award for National Property Company of the Year.

Sealing its win was the jewel in its crown: the £210m mixed-use Lewisham Gateway project. The south London scheme is one of 40 commercial and residential developments, from Aberdeen to Plymouth, in the company’s portfolio, and prompted one judge to comment that it was “showing the big boys how it’s done”.

But one year on, the crown is for the taking and the 2015 headline award is now up for grabs.

What to do

Although this category is likely to be contested by the industry’s most established names, Muse proved that it is not a category just for the giants of the industry. So consider all your company achievements from July 2014 to July 2015 carefully to compile a formidable entry. Submissions must be no more than 1,000 words.

Entrants in this category can also put themselves forward for the sector awards, although you will need to make a separate submission for each. Investment managers are eligible, but the judges will want to see strong evidence of activity that goes beyond investment management.

SPONSOR’s comment: Savills hails excellence

In keeping with our entrepreneurial spirit, Savills is delighted to be sponsoring the National Property Company of the Year category again at this year’s EG Awards. In a rapidly accelerating industry, this award will crown the national property firm that has capitalised on the growing opportunities within the market and demonstrated excellence across the board and in a national capacity.
