Vauxhall crosses legal hurdle

Vauxhall-cross-towers-THUMB.jpegA court ruling is set to unlock the long-anticipated sale of a £400m residential-led scheme in Vauxhall, SW8.

Claims against the owners of Vauxhall Cross Island Site by Ariel Zeckler and James Barrymore have been struck out after a judge ruled them an attempt to create nuisance value and frustrate the sale process.

Tempest Ltd had claimed it was entitled to £12m in compensation in relation to a profit-share agreement struck in 2009.

The site, which has consent for two towers of 41 and 31 storeys respectively, was put up for sale by owners Wendover Investments and Kylun last year for £65m.

Knight Frank is advising.
