After finishing second two years in a row, Knight Frank was comfortably the top agent in Cardiff this year.
Disposing of almost 190,000 sq ft of offices in
the 12 months to February 2015, it was nearly 40,000 sq ft ahead of Cooke & Arkwright in second place, moving up from fourth.
While the total of 137 transactions for the year was down by more than a third on the previous period, the total floorspace shifted, at more than 660,000 sq ft, was down just 9% on the year before – with larger lot sizes making up a greater proportion of the deals.
Going up Emanuel Jones
Emanuel Jones is EGi’s fastest-growing office agent. The local agent rose up the rankings five places to fifth and disposed of 82,000 sq ft of space, almost seven times more than last year. Its total was boosted by a 17,500 sq ft deal at The Bonded Warehouse on Atlantic Wharf, a sale to Ashfield Commercial Properties.
Going down DTZ
DTZ slipped from first to seventh place in our rankings this year, finding tenants for 52,000 sq ft of space, a third less than it disposed of last year. Its letting of 28,000 sq ft of space at Central Square was its largest deal of the year.
