Cain Hoy puts Hammerson man on The Stage

The-Stage-LondonCain Hoy is expanding its development expertise by recruiting the project director of one of Hammerson’s most complex schemes.

Robert Allan is joining the affiliate of Guggenheim Capital Group as development director at the start of July.

Allan has worked at Hammerson for nine years and has focused on the development of the former Bishopsgate Goodsyard, E1. Following a consultation period an amended application for the project, which will include up to 1,500 homes and 600,000 sq ft of offices, is expected to be submitted next month.

The project will now be led by Hammerson’s development director Tony Coughlan and Jon Weston, senior development manager at joint venture partner Ballymore Group.

In his new role Allan will work mainly on Cain Hoy’s £750m The Stage project, close to the Goodsyard site. Cain Hoy completed the purchase of the long leasehold of the 2.3-acre site from the Bard family this month.

The Stage will include a 40-storey residential tower, developed by joint venture partner Galliard Homes, and 257,252 sq ft of offices.
