Cineworld has been chosen to operate the planned 11-screen IMAX cinema at Land Securities’ White Rose Shopping Centre in Leeds.
White Rose will supplement its existing 700,000 sq ft of retail space with a 65,000 sq ft leisure-focused extension featuring the Cineworld IMAX multiplex and six new restaurants.
The extension follows last year’s refurbishment works to the mall’s food and beverage offer, tripling the overall size of the eating space.
Rob Jewell, portfolio director at Land Securities, said: “Cineworld is an exciting addition to the burgeoning leisure lineup at White Rose, and demonstrates our commitment to evolving our assets in line with the needs of the modern shopper and the communities in which we operate.”
