Savills to sell Virgin Media office

Griffin-House-161-Hammersith-Road-W6-THUMB.gifSavills has been appointed to sell Virgin Media’s London office for £70m, representing a net initial yield of approximately 4.38%.

The company occupies 44,200 sq ft of LaSalle Investment Management’s Griffin House on Hammersmith Road, W6.

The 86,445 sq ft office is also occupied by music publishing company Warner/Chappel and research company ReachLocal.

The building was refurbished and slightly extended in 2012. Following the work, Virgin Media left the 20,000 sq ft it occupied at nearby Bechtel House for double the space at Griffin House.

The television and telecoms provider signed a new ten year lease for the space with a break option after five years.

Quoting rents for the office scheme at the time Virgin signed were £37.50 per sq ft.

The building supports 450 Virgin media staff working in digital entertainment, media relations, public affairs, internal communications and sustainability.
