Jonathan Pollack is joining Blackstone as chief investment officer in its property-debt unit, moving from Deutsche Bank where he was global head of commercial real estate.
The unit manages around $10bn of investments. Pollack will report to Michael Nash, head of real estate debt strategies.
The announcement is the latest is a number of real estate-related appointments by Blackstone recently, reflecting the growing importance of the sector.
