Paul Fosh offers Welsh bargain
A three-bedroom house with a guide price of £7,000-plus is being auctioned by Paul Fosh. The property, 36 Oak Street, in Tonypandy, south Wales, was bought for £55,000 in 2006 and requires modernisation. 35 Oak Street sold in 2012 for £165,000. The auction will be held on 25 June at the Park Inn hotel, Cardiff.
Auction House hits 75%
Auction House Birmingham and Black Country posted a 75% success rate at its latest auction. Of 24 lots offered, 14 sold in the room and four sold prior. The auction, held at Walsall Football Club, raised £1.7m.
Public loo takes in £27,000
A former public toilet block in Anglesey, north Wales, sold for £2,000 over its £25,000 guide price at the most recent All Wales Auction. The property comes with a 125-year lease and four parking spaces. The sale on 11 June at the Carreg Bran Hotel in Llanfairpwllgwyngyll raised £749,000, with 55% of the 11 lots sold.
£1.3m result for Nesbits
Nesbits raised £1.3m at its latest sale. The most expensive lot was a three-bedroom bungalow with a 90 ft garden in Denvilles, Hampshire, which sold for £306,000 off a guide price of £320,000 to £340,000. Eight out of nine lots were sold – an 89% success rate. The auction was held on 11 June at the Royal Marines Museum in Southsea.
Harman Healy offers refurb
A substantial seven-bedroom Grade II listed house requiring total refurbishment in Wincanton, Somerset, is being auctioned with a guide price of £280,000. The Harman Healy auction on 2 July at Kensington Town Hall, W8, currently has 18 lots lined up, with more likely to be added.
