The world-famous architect behind the London 2012 aquatics centre, Zaha Hadid, is to deliver the closing address at the second annual MIPIM UK property conference this autumn.
The starchitect will address delegates at the trade show at Olympia on 23 October.
She said: “There is uniqueness to London – the education, the amount of research and invention. There are many situations within the city that offer the potential to do some very positive things with some interesting solutions.”
Hadid joins a programme of high-profile industry and political leaders speaking at the event, including minister of state for trade and investment Francis Maude. Maude will deliver a keynote address on 21 October, the first day of the three-day event, discussing UK regeneration and the appetite for foreign investment in Britain.
