A disused brewery is among several historic buildings being sold as part of a one-acre site in Worksop, Nottinghamshire. The town centre property is listed at £275,000 and has a current income of £34,280 pa. It will be offered at the Mark Jenkinson & Son sale being held on 21 July at Sheffield United Football Club.
Barnard Marcus hits 72%
Barnard Marcus sold 72% of the 177 lots offered at its most recent auction. The 23 June sale at Grand Connaught Rooms, WC2, raised £22.3m in total. The top lot was a building in Notting Hill, W11, with permission for a 2,115 sq ft dwelling, which sold for £1.7m.
17th-century barn for sale
A vacant Grade II listed barn conversion dating back to 1661 is among the lots on offer at the Sutton Kersh auction on 16 July. It will be offered at the sale at the Marriott hotel in Liverpool and is guided at £220,000 to £240,000.
Investors to dig Lincs quarry
Investors have the rare opportunity to buy almost five acres of former quarry land at the next Savills regional sale at Nottingham racecourse. The site near Market Rasen in Lincolnshire is guided at £50,000 to £75,000. A further 42 lots are due to be offered at the auction.
Hull theatre remains on offer
Bids for the remains of the National Picture Theatre in Hull, Yorkshire, stopped just short of the reserve price at Auction House Hull & East Yorkshire’s sale on 24 June. Built in 1914, the Grade II listed building was partly destroyed in the Blitz and now comprises a facade in baroque revival style, with potential for a 2,583 sq ft redevelopment. It is available for £40,000 to £45,000.
