Fitness chain DW sports has signed for its first shop in Cornwall, taking a 10,000 sq ft shop on a ten-year lease at Threemilestone Retail Park in Truro.
It has agreed a rent of £14 per sq ft, with a rent-free period of nine months.
The 112,500 sq ft Threemilestone is one of the largest out-of-town retail parks in Cornwall. Occupiers include Matalan and Home Bargains.
Following this letting, 10,000 sq ft of space remains at the park.
DW Sports and Fitness was established in 2009 by former JJB owner Dave Whelan and now operates 74 health and fitness centres and 73 retail stores nationwide.
James Somers-Eve, surveyor at ESH, said: “DW Sports is a company on the expansion trail, and the arrival of its first store in Cornwall will further strengthen Threemilestone’s position as premier retail destination.”
