Lloyds hires RBS’s Willock

Lloyds-THUMB.jpegLloyds has poached David Willock from RBS, who will assume the role of relationship director for the South West and Wales.

Willock joins the company’s Bristol office after ten years with RBS where he had been a senior director in its real estate team.

In his previous role he had been responsible for loan origination and client management across the South West and South of England. He led a series of deals including development loans and bond placements.

In his new role Willock will report to Brian Darling, Lloyds Bank Commercial Real Estate’s head of UK regions, and support the six specialist real estate divisions across the South West and Wales. Until his arrival, this was a function run from the London office.

Willock is an associate of the Association of Corporate Treasurers and is studying to become a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

Darling said: “We’re focused on expanding our presence in dynamic markets such as the South West and Wales where we see opportunities to support regional business and new development through both vanilla and more complex funding arrangements. David will spearhead our expansion in the region.”
