Five new fashion names for Sovereign Centre

Deichmann-THUMB.jpegVixcroft has signed five new tenants at the 118,000 sq ft Sovereign Centre in Weston-super-Mare.

Budget fashion retailer Pep & Co has agreed a deal for 4,500 sq ft on a five-year lease and is due to open in the autumn.

Fashion retailer Roman has formalised its temporary presence at the centre and more than doubled its trading floorspace with a five-year lease for 3,400 sq ft.

Holland & Barrett has relocated to the centre from the high street on a 10-year lease. It is due to open a 1,564 sq ft shop in late 2015.

These signings join footwear specialist Deichmann, now open after agreeing a 10-year lease for a 5,600 sq ft shop, and jeweller Warren James, which signed a 10-year lease for 1,113 sq ft.

Rents for the new lettings reflect up to £55 per sq ft Zone A.

Simon Jones, managing director at Vixcroft, said: “These are significant lettings which not only vindicate our investment in the Sovereign Centre but only underline its position as the prime retail destination for the town and north Somerset area.”

Fawcett Mead and Bilfinger GVA advised Vixcroft. Savills acted on behalf of Pep & Co; RMG Retail advised Deichmann; Brasier Freeth acted for Warren James; Red Fox Retail advised Roman; and Holland & Barrett were unrepresented.
