Galliard’s Millharbour plans rejected

Millharbour-300pxTower Hamlets Council has thrown out Galliard’s plans to develop 1.500 homes in a series of towers at Millharbour, E14, on the grounds that they did not include enough affordable housing.

The council said the proposed 25% affordable housing was 10 percentage points below its official 35% target.

The scheme on the 6.4-acre site would have seen 1.7m sq ft of residential-led development in towers rising from 18 to 40 storeys.
