Former Arsenal and England footballer Sol Campbell plans to introduce “Sol hubs” if he comes to power as the next Conservative party candidate for London mayor.
The hubs would be business clusters in outer London where firms would be encouraged to set up secondary out-of-town offices as a way of distributing prosperity across the city.
“They should be places for talent to grow. Local kids could work in a nearby hub and then the company may ask them to work in central London,” he told Estates Gazette in a wide-ranging discussion.
