VIDEO: Luxury retailer Harvey Nichols is to open its newest store in Birmingham tomorrow.
Estates Gazette has been given an exclusive tour inside the redesigned “concept store” that the company hopes will be the blueprint for all future Harvey Nichols stores.
The 45,000 sq ft store has been revamped as part of the £50m redevelopment of Birmingham’s Mailbox shopping complex, due to be unveiled in September.
Harvey Nichols property and facilities director Barry Tallintire said: “We’re using Birmingham as an opportunity to be a test bed.
“We’re just about to start a major masterplan project in Knightsbridge and that will take several years to fulfil. What we wanted to do was to show the (fashion) brands, press and public the direction that the brand was going in.”
