Sushi bar rolls up Tishman’s WC1 vacancy

TSushi-THUMBishman Speyer is close to completing almost 50,000 sq ft of lettings at 100 New Oxford Street, WC1, including one with sushi restaurant Japan Centre.

The deals mean that the building is now fully let eight months after Tishman’s £130m purchase of the 103,000 sq ft building from Hermes and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board.

The three retail units that were vacant on purchase total 8,000 sq ft. The other two units have been let to Shake Shack and Italian deli and coffee shop Ferretti. All of the retail deals are on 15-year terms with zone A rents of close to £170.

Stanhope has taken the whole of the second floor of 14,327 sq ft, while shipping company Andros has taken 5,984 sq ft on the sixth floor. The 14,327 sq ft first floor has been taken by games firm Space Ape, and the final 6,000 sq ft is also under offer.

All the office deals are on 10-year terms with rents in the region of £75 per sq ft.

Blue Book and Edwards Charles are leasing agents on the office element; Nash Bond is the leasing agent on the retail.
