Fat Face is extending its presence at Exeter’s Princesshay shopping centre to open its largest UK store.
The fashion retailer is taking over a 1,719 sq ft shop, formally let to East, in order to open a new 10,000 sq ft store.
Australian stationer Smiggle has also agreed to take a 700 sq ft shop at Princesshay.
Both have signed 10-year leases with the Crown Estate, which manages Princesshay on behalf of the partnership between itself and TH Real Estate, which purchased Land Securities’ interest in the centre in October 2014.
Katherine Armstead, senior asset manager for Princesshay, said: “Fat Face and Smiggle are exciting, market-leading brands which will significantly enhance the retail mix for shoppers as we continue to deliver our long-term vision for Princesshay.”
Lunson Mitchenhall represented the Crown Estate in both deals; Smiggle was represented by Harper Dennis Hobbs; Fat Face was represented GCW.
