Evans Randall to develop first Midtown project

90-Fetter-Lane-THUMBEvans Randall is in talks to take on its first development opportunity in London’s Midtown after agreeing to buy 90 Fetter Lane, EC4, from German fund manager Blue Capital.

The private equity group is working with London developer Core and plans to refurbish and extend the office block, which is let to law firm Bird & Bird until September next year.

It is under offer to buy the building for more than £40m, outbidding parties including LaSalle, L&G, LS Estates, Invesco and Skanska.

The building was marketed by DTZ with an unconsented indicative scheme designed by John Robertson Architects, the practice behind 33 Central, EC4, in which Core is also involved.

Evans Randall and Core are expected to pursue a modified version of the JRA-designed scheme.
