The National Trust is planning a celebration of the brutalist architectural movement, offering tours of the best examples of the style for 10 days from 25 Sept.
Included among these will be London’s Southbank Centre, Sheffield’s Park Hill flats and the University of East Anglia’s campus.
Some of the brutalist buildings of the 1960s could well find themselves as future National Trust properties. The trust’s London creative director, Joseph Watson, said he could easily imagine some coming under the National Trust.
